Live Well is the joint labor-management employee wellness program.

  • Save the Date - LIVE WELL LAUNCH - September 10th, 1-3 pm in the Executive Office Building, Auditorium

Join Montgomery County leaders, County employees and program partners on September 10th from 1-3 pm in the Executive Office Building Auditorium (lobby level) for the official launch of the Live Well program and kick off of the Virgin Pulse program. The kickoff event will feature:

  • Welcome from County leaders
  • Free, 10-minute massages (starting at approximately 1:30 pm)

  • Zumba demo (1:30-2:00 pm)

  • Games and prizes

  • On-site registration with Virgin Pulse

  • Partner program resources and give-aways

The Chief Administrative Officer has authorized supervisors to grant up to 2 hours of administrative leave for employees to attend this event and up to 3 hours of administrative leave for Wellness Champions who volunteer to assist during the event. Please note that administrative leave is subject to supervisory approval.

Shuttle service to and from the Live Well launch will be sponsored by the Department of Transportation.

The pick-up and drop off locations will be:

  • Public Safety Headquarters: 100 Edison Park Drive, Gaithersburg, MD at the front entrance, near to the parking lot and Ride On stop
  • Piccard Drive:  1301 Piccard Drive, Rockville, MD in the parking lot closest to the north entrance
  • Executive Office Building (EOB): 101 Monroe Street, Rockville, MD near the intersection of Monroe Street and Monroe Place, adjacent to the rear entrance and circle

Shuttles Service to the Live Well Launch Event: Shuttles depart satellite locations at the times listed below:

  • 12:20 pm from 100 Edison Park Dr. to EOB
  • 12:20 pm from 1301 Piccard Dr. to EOB
  • 12:40 pm from 100 Edison Park Dr. to EOB
  • 12:40 pm from 1301 Piccard Dr. to EOB

Shuttles Depart the Live Well Launch: Shuttles depart from the EOB at the times listed below:

  • 2:00 pm from EOB to 100 Edison Park Dr.
  • 2:00 pm from EOB to 1301 Piccard Dr.
  • 2:20 pm from EOB to 100 Edison Park Dr.

  • Virgin Pulse: Registration Opens September 10th

Montgomery County Government has teamed up with Virgin Pulse to offer a new health & well-being program, designed to help employees create healthier habits and feel great.

With Virgin Pulse, you get:

  • An opportunity to earn up to $350 a year!
  • Fun challenges
  • Wearable fitness device, the 'Max'
  • Health stations to check your blood pressure, weight, and BMI
  • Tools to encourage you to make well-being a priority

Live Well programs, including Virgin Pulse, are open to insurance-eligible, Montgomery County Government & participating agency employees.
