Note regarding calculations

In the recycling rate Fiscal Year 2006 calculation, Construction and Demolition (C&D) should be distinguished from Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), and should not be included in the recycling rate calculation. Unfortunately, County truck scale records do not positively discern C&D burned at the County's Resource Recovery Facility (RRF) from MSW burned at the RRF. Therefore, the calculation above should be considered conservative in that it assumes that all tons burned at the RRF were eligible for recycling (even the C&D burned).
