Booze Creek Stream Restoration
As a part of the County's effort to help reduce stormwater pollution that drains into our streams, enhance aquatic habitat, and protect aging infrastructure, the County coordinated with Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) and restored a section of Booze Creek in the Cabin John Creek watershed.
The stream restoration project was identified as a top priority project in the Cabin John Watershed Study (2004). The restored stream section is approximately 4,800 linear feet (0.9 miles) stretching from River Road down to Cabin John Parkway.
Various public events were held throughout the project phases for residents to learn about the project and to provide input on the design of the project. Go to the "Project Schedule and Documents" tab for more information!
