Longmead Crossing Stormwater Pond

As a part of the County's effort to protect our waters, the stormwater pond within the Longmead Crossing community was selected for upgrade and improvements to bring the pond into compliance with current safety and performance standards to reduce the impacts of stormwater runoff on our streams and the Chesapeake Bay.

Upgrades and improvements to the stormwater management pond will include: regrading the pond to increase water storage capacity, installing a new 48 inch concrete spillway pipe through the dam, replacing the riser structure, reconstructing the dam and planting trees, shrubs and aquatic plants around the perimeter of the pond.
