Honoring Our World War II Veterans

Montgomery County Honors WWII Veterans - Montgomery County saluted those who served our nation 70 years ago and became part of what is called "The Greatest Generation" on September 19, 2012. All from the Montgomery County, MD area were invited to attend and be honored at this event that reflects on World War II.

Montgomery County WW II Interviews - County Cable Montgomery produced a special tribute to veterans, including a series of interviews with some Montgomery County residents who are veterans of World War II.

Honor Flight - Non-profit organization created solely to honor America's veterans for all their sacrifices. Transport our heroes to Washington, D.C. to visit and reflect at their memorials.  Top priority is given to the senior veterans - World War II survivors, along with those other veterans who may be terminally ill.

Honor Flight Capital Region - Provide veterans living in the greater DC-Maryland-Northern Virginia area with a free trip to visit those memorials dedicated to the veterans' sacrifice and service, and to allow the veterans to experience a special day of honor and remembrance.
