Early Care and Education Policy Office

The DHHS Early Care and Education Policy Office was established by the County Council in 2015.  The role of the office is to serve as a focal point for the early care and education system in Montgomery, to identify gaps, and promote collaboration among County agencies and community partners to ensure a range of  services for children from birth to five years old.  The office oversees the Early Childhood Coordinating Council and brings together representatives of a variety of stakeholders to develop recommendations for the County Executive and the County Council on early care and education issues.
