Long Term Care Ombudsman Program
A program of advocates for residents living in nursing homes and licensed assisted living facilities, including elderly group homes. The program has a large number of trained volunteers who regularly visit long-term care facilities, monitor conditions and care, and provide a voice for those unable to speak for themselves. Ombudsman help residents and their families understand and exercise their rights guaranteed by federal and state law.
