The Office of Consumer Protection (OCP) is accepting complaints and is investigating consumer concerns regarding Calumet Photographic, Inc. (formerly Penn Camera) located at 1701 A-16, Rockville Pike, Rockville, MD 20852.
On March 12, 2014, Calumet filed for Chapter 7 Bankruptcy [case 14-08893], and subsequently ceased conducting business. Since their closing, OCP has received a number of inquires from consumers who were transacting and conducting business with Calumet. OCP has been in contact with representatives of Calumet Photographic, Inc. and the property manager of their leased space. At this time, the property manager cannot grant access to the facility or to the merchandise without permission from Calumet Photographic, Inc. and/or approval from the court. Update: Calumet Photographic, Inc. has advised OCP that they have now re-opened their Rockville Pike location and will remain open for four (4) weeks.
