A marital break-up can be one of life's most difficult experiences.
Mediation offers an effective and humane way to negotiate the difficulties of separation and divorce with a minimum of tension, conflict, and damage to a family-s emotions and finances.
This workshop explains:
- how mediation works
- what topics are cover
- how to choose a mediator
- what to expect in terms of cost and time
Couples are encouraged to attend.
Presenter(s)
John Spiegel, JD, an attorney, full-time mediator and mediation trainer, has a private divorce mediation practice in Rockville, Md. A graduate of Yale Law School, he serves as the President of the Montgomery County Divorce Roundtable, an interdisciplinary professional organization. He was the 2003 and 2004 President of the Maryland Council for Dispute Resolution (MCDR), a statewide alternative dispute resolution practitioners’ organization. John teaches mediation and conflict resolution at the University of Maryland School of Social Work and at the University of Maryland, College Park, and he has presented mediation workshops at several national conferences.
