The Center brings public services closer to the community and the residents who use them; provides a focal point for community interaction; and increases citizen accessibility and participation in their government. The Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center is designed to bring County services closer to the community and to citizens who use those services, increase citizen accessibility to government and participation of citizens in their government, improve the responsiveness of public services to the needs of the local community and coordinate interdepartmental activities and responses to community issues and concerns. We are the local government office for the Bethesda, Cabin John, Chevy Chase, Friendship Heights, Garrett Park, Glen Echo, North Bethesda, Potomac and Rockville communities. We bring "small town" responsiveness to all communities that we serve.
We serve as a town hall and civic gathering space, with meeting rooms available for public use. Several non-profit organizations provide programs at the Center that benefit the local community - including lectures, senior exercise classes, mediation training, family and youth counseling, and computer classes. The Center also includes a children's day care facility!
Not only that but we initiated the Woodmont triangle Action Group, created an online Bethesda development map and promoted improvements to streetscape, upgrades to the circulator, and expansion of art venues in downtown Bethesda.
The Center is located at 4805 Edgemoor Lane, Bethesda, MD 20814. The Center is open on weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The phone numbers are 240-777-8200 (voice), 240-777-8212 (TDD) and 240-777-8211 (FAX). The Center's e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org
