8th Annual Girl Power Contest
In recognition of March as Women's History Month, the Commission for Women invites residents to participate in its 8th annual "Girl Power Contest."
Submit a short story, poem, or essay---or any medium of choice--that addresses the contest question:
The media we consume plays a powerful role in shaping confidence, ambition, and self-worth, especially for young girls and women, by providing representation, positive role models, and stories that challenge stereotypes. What kind of media (TV shows, social media content, YouTube series, movies, books, etc.) would you create to inspire, uplift, and empower girls and women in the community?
Entries must be submitted by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, March 31.
