DAWN is a non-profit organization that addresses domestic violence, sexual assault and stalking in the deaf, hard of hearing and deaf-blind community.

DASAM is a state-wide substance abuse program for individuals who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. The program is based at the University of Maryland at Baltimore. All staff members are fluent in American Sign Language. Additionally, staff interpreters are on the premises at all times. Internships are available for students interested in learning about substance abuse and how it impacts the deaf community.

DORS offers programs and services that help people with disabilities go to work or stay independent in their homes and communities. DORS also offers specialized services for people who are deaf or hard of hearing: audiological evaluation and assessment, assistive devices, telecommunication devices, speech and language therapy, and interpreter services.

Info To Go is a centralized source of accurate, objective information related to deaf and hard of hearing children from birth through age 21 which responds to questions from families, the general public, deaf and hard of hearing people, and professionals serving this population. Info To Go collects, develops and disseminates informational materials on communication, education, parenting, organizations, services/programs, and more. All of the informational materials are available to download, free or charge.

Peer Counseling and Support - The majority of Independence Now staff are people who have disabilities. We have had similar life experiences as our consumers and have had to navigate service systems. We develop a special relationships with our consumers that centers around the development of an Independent Living Plan.
Benefits InfoSource is a project of Independence Now that assists people with disabilities and their families to understand the impact of going to work on their Social Security and other benefits.

Provides counseling and case management services for children, teens, adults, and seniors who are deaf and hard of hearing and their families. Other services include psychiatric evaluations and medication management, career and employment services, workshops and support groups, community educationa and advocacy, and referrals to other community resources. JSSA has clinical social workers and vocational counselors fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). Under contract with Montgomery County.

Located on Gallaudet's campus. Serves deaf and hard of hearing students from birth through age 15, beginning with the Parent-Infant Program and ending in grade 8. KDES focuses on teaching and learning in teams, where the study of main content areas (language arts, math, science, and social studies) is integrated. Support services are available to all students including speech, audiological, counseling, social work, psychological, occupational and physical therapy, and medical and health services. Also offer an extensive after-school program.

BIS offers a wide range of interpreting and translitering services as well as a number of workshops, seminars, and training sessions for both interpreters and businesses that work with deaf or hard or hearing employees and customers.
