MEDICAL ASSISTANCE LONG TERM CARE |
Medical Assistance Long Term Care: 240-777-3995
Provides information regarding the policies and regulations for the Medical Assistant Long Term Care (MA-LTC) program. Determines initial and ongoing eligibility for the MA-LTC program for Montgomery County residents living in nursing homes who need assistance in paying for their nursing home cost of care. Certain income and asset criteria must be met, as well as criteria regarding U.S. citizenship and Maryland residency. Although all ages are served, for certain age groups there are disability criteria that must additionally be met.

MEDICAID HOME AND COMMUNITY BASED SERVICES FOR OLDER ADULTS |
Medicaid Waiver for Older Adults Program: 240-777-1334
Persons eligible for this program are at least 50 years old, have a monthly income of no more than $1,911, assets that are no more than $2,000 to $2,500 and must meet medical eligibility requirements for a nursing home. Services may be provided in the home or in an assisted living facility. These services include Personal care, Respite care, Home-delivered meals, Environmental Assessment Family or consumer training, Personal response system, etc.
A list of individuals interested in receiving waiver services is being maintained. To place a name on the Waiver Services Registry call 1-866-417-3480. Registrants will be notified as openings become available.
Waiver services are available immediately for nursing home residents, (wishing to leave the nursing home), whose stay has been paid by Long Term Care Medicaid for 30 days or more.
