SENIOR MENTAL HEALTH

Provides the following services under a contract with Montgomery County Behavioral Health and Crisis Services, Senior Mental Health Program - 240-777-3990 (Voice).

 

Outreach Mental Health Services for Seniors:  Home-based mental health services and psychiatric services (English and Spanish language) for seniors who cannot or will not use office based mental health services.

 

Consultation Services:  Senior Center Directors, Housing Opportunities Commission Resident Counselors and Assisted Living Providers can request a consultation from a mental health professional to assist in the management of a senior.

 

Community Education:  Mental health staff are available to speak to community groups on topics related to senior mental health.

Provides a full range of mental health and vocational services for persons who are deaf or hard of hearing.  Staff and therapists are fluent in American Sign Language and knowledgeable about the deaf culture.  JSSA provides these services under contract with Montgomery County Behavioral Health and Substance Abuse Services.

Korean Community Service Center of Greater Washington Senior Mental Health Outreach Project (Senior HOP)

Provides information referral, case management, health fair and helath educational workshops to seniors.
