The Rockville Library Business Information Center can help entrepreneurs make decisions about locating a new business. Legal and economic factors play into this decision, and much information can be gleaned from books, websites, and databases, as well as local counselors.

    The Reference USA database contains detailed information on more than 12 million U.S. businesses; 120 million U.S. residents. You can find the total number and the specific names of individuals and business by ZIP code, county, city and more. You can also create a list of businesses by yellow page heading, SIC of NAIC codes, or size of the business all within a specific geographic area
