MCRD's senior Wii tournament was a huge success.
Yeah, Brooklyn!
Doris Comfort celebrates winning the County seniors bowling championship in the video game Wii during the finals June 26 at the MCRD Theatre. Comfort bowled a 192 to defeat Eleanor Blake. In tennis, Jianwen Zhang defeated Felicia Taylor-Lewis in three sets. The senior Wii preliminary tournaments were held at four community centers and a wild success as more than 100 participants attended.
Register Now for Md. Senior Olympics
Mail-in registration is underway for the 2008 Maryland Senior Olympics, held throughout the state Aug. 30-Nov. 2. Many of the events are hosted in Montgomery County. Don't get shut out of an event! Register now and qualify for the 2009 National Senior Games in San Francisco.
