The Recreation Department’s Teens Team has an exciting new program this summer called Career Quest and Leadership Challenge, where students aged 13-16 can develop community leadership skills and explore a career in the public service sector over two one-week sessions.
Offered twice this summer, the program gives participants an opportunity to learn about their communities in a fun environment. They will interact in career exploration or service learning through field trips, High Ropes, team games, interactive workshops and activities that teach teamwork, communication, conflict resolution and other leadership skills.
Participants will be eligible to earn Student Service Learning credits for their participation in the program.
The program will be held at A. Mario Loiederman Middle School in Silver Spring. Call 240-777-6985 or register online. Download the flyer.
