Adventure: John Wilkes Booth Escape Route
The escape route John Wilkes Booth took after assassinating President Lincoln has become one of Washington's most popular.Ages 18 and above: Tour the home of Mary Surratt who was found guilty of conspiring with John Wilkes Booth (right) to assassinate President Lincoln, and start our tour exploring Booth's escape route after the assassination. The escape tour has been made famous by the recent bestselling book, "Manhunt: The 12-Day Chase for Lincoln's Killer," and all of the popular escape route tours from the Surratt House are sold out until Spring 2007

Fitness: Pilates on the Ball
Ages 16 and above: A non-aerobic, new and different approach to total fitness. Experience balance, core stabilization, flexibility, plyometrics, weight loss and strength training through an integrated training model designed to systematically progress the student. Instructor is a certified personal trainer. Bring a mat and 65cm exercise ball to class.

Teen Fitness: Intro to Weight Training for Youth
Ages 16 and above: Small group designed to teach weight room etiquette, proper stretching, cardiovascular equipment and the proper techniques of circuit training combining weight machines and free weights. Develop a personal program to continue on your own. Completion of program will allow teens to purchase an exercise room pass and receive first three months for free! Instructor is a certified trainer.

Cake decorating is a fine art that quickly goes to waist.

Cooking: Cake Decorating
Ages 18 and above: Explore the fundamentals of cake decorating on the beginning and intermediate levels. Basic techniques such as flowers, roses, borders, fondant, color striping and lettering will be covered. The material and supply list will be provided at the first class.

Crafts: Lamp Work Bead Bracelet
Ages 13 and above: Beginner level. Love the look of those handmade lamp work beads? Then make a bracelet to showcase these special beads. Learn the basics for making a bracelet using Beadalon, crimp beads and the necessary tools. Once it is completed, wrap it in wire for a finishing touch. Easy to do, yet unique and eye catching. A $10 material fee due instructor.

Tiny Tots: Mommy, You and Me Makes Three
Ages 2-3: Join us for circle time, stories, songs, finger plays and art, all of which revolve around an exciting theme. Each session will incorporate special activities designed to enrich your child's social development, language and gross/fine motor skills. Mommy and Me offers all of this in a small group setting and a caring and nurturing environment. There's so much to do that we need two days per week to experience all of the fun! Price includes all materials. Adult participation required.

Wellness: Pre-Natal Yoga
Pre-natal yoga is a safe and nurturing experience.Ages 16 and above: Increase your joy and well-being as life grows within you. Instruction in breathing and relaxation techniques, stretching and toning of muscles used during labor and delivery, techniques to relieve lower back pain and other common pregnancy discomforts and posture awareness. A safe and nurturing experience for women in all stages of pregnancy. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a mat, two pillows, yoga strap and a blanket to class.

Crafts: VisArts Fused Glass Workshop
Ages 15 and above: Create a beautiful fused glass pendant and pin just like the professionals! No experience is needed but more advanced students are also encouraged to come and join the fun! Trained instructor helps you explore creativity and offers individualized instruction and demonstrations. All glass and tools are brought in by the teacher and fired pieces can be picked up 10 days after class date. Use dichroic glass, stringers and frit to create amazing works of art that you can wear. A $10 material and firing fee is due to instructor at class.
