The End-of-Summer Pooch Pool Party
Help your dog cool off from a long, hot summer with our 2nd Annual Pooch Pool Party, Sept. 9 at the Wheaton/Glenmont Pool.

It has been a doggone hot summer and if you think you have suffered through the worst Washington heatwave since . . . last year, what about your dawg? The fur. The dry paws. The itchiness.

MCRD figures your pet can finally be a cool canine at our 2nd Annual Pooch Pool Party at the Wheaton/Glenmont Pool, Sept. 9, noon-3 p.m.

Join Sasha and friends at the Upper County Pool Sept. 10.The pool will be closed to humans for the season and will be prepping for winter. But before we drain and clean the pool, pooches will be allowed to swim, cavort and have a grand time.

Animal rescue groups, pet retailers, and animal services officers will also be on hand to answer questions about all things animal.

Best of all, this party is free! But pre-registration is required.

A few rules: All dogs must be under the control of an adult. Any dog displaying signs of aggression will be asked to leave immediately. All dogs must provide proof of a current rabies vaccination before they will be allowed into the pool. No female dogs in heat, please!

Due to health concerns, this party is for canines only—no humans allowed in the pools.

And, of course, no cats are invited. Ha-ha.
