Dance: Learn the Charleston
Learn the basics of this spirited 8-count swing dance that originated in the 1920s. Progress through side-by-side, face-to-face, and Charleston kick variations. Dance music includes ragtime, jazz, as well as a more contemporary swing. Partners welcome, but not required. Instructors. Crafts: Beginning Pottery at East County
If you have wanted to try pottery, this is the for you! Designed as an introductory class, you will learn hand-building and wheel-throwing, decorating and glazing. A $25 material fee covers 25 pounds of clay, glazes, slips and other consumables due to instructor at class.

Seniors: Walk Pickett’s Charge at Gettysburg
Walk across the battlefield in the footsteps of the men who fought in “Pickett’s Charge,” the decisive third day at the Battle of Gettysburg. Listen as Ed Bearss, retired Park Service Chief Historian and noted author, describes the battle in vivid detail. Lunch (included) at General Pickett’s Buffet.
Ages 55 and above: Part of the SOAR program, each trip requires a substantial amount of walking and/or physical exertion. Also visit the new, highly touted visitors center at Gettysburg. Trip is by motorcoach.

Cooking: Tailgating Delights
Ages 15 and above: How to be the hit of the parking lot or your own tailgate party at home before the big game. This class will take you to a new level of ballyard cuisine, commonly called tailgating. We’ll do foods that will set you apart from the crowd. This is the ultimate tailgate party. You might even want to wear a tuxedo to this one! Take home the recipes. A $15 food fee due the instructor at class.
