MCRD figures your pet can finally be a cool canine at our 3rd Annual Pooch Pool Party at the Wheaton/Glenmont Pool, Sept. 7, noon-3 p.m.
The pool will be closed to humans for the season and will be prepped for winter. But before we drain and clean the pool, pooches will be allowed to swim, cavort and have a grand time. We also have several new activities, including a survivor obstacle course and canine talent show.
Animal rescue groups, pet retailers, and animal services officers will also be on hand to answer questions about all things animal. Our friends from Dogtopia and Petco will also be on hand with some goodies.
Best of all, this party is free! But pre-registration is required. Be sure to check out the fun from last year's party in this slideshow.
A few rules: All dogs must be under the control of an adult. Any dog displaying signs of aggression will be asked to leave immediately. All dogs must provide proof of a current rabies vaccination before they will be allowed into the pool. No female dogs in heat, please!
Due to health concerns, this party is for canines onlyno humans allowed in the pools.
And, of course, no cats are invited. Ha!
