Early Release Days Mean Fun! Half-Day Events
Wanna do something fun on an early release day? Come play with us at a half day special event for middle school students. Activities include a swim party, ice skating, and bowling.
Teens in Charge Volunteer! Earn those Student Service Learning Hours. MCRD is looking for teen volunteers 14 and older to make a difference in our county.
Big Buddy Spend three hours a week enriching a child in need! High school students will pair up with children from a homeless shelter for recreational, educational and community service activities. Enjoy fun and exciting monthly trips with your little buddy to Seneca Creek State Park, ice skating and other destinations. Applications for the Fall session are accepted in mid-September.
Youth Advisory Committee Get involved! The Youth Advisory Committee plans safe, fun events for MC teens. Battle of the Bands and the Tobacco Free Sports Challenge are just two YAC sponsored events.
