2016 - 30th Annual Keep Montgomery County Clean and Green

For 30 years, MCDOT and the volunteer organization KMCCG (Keep Montgomery County Clean and Green, formerly known as the Keep Montgomery County Beautiful Task Force) have sponsored competitions that have inspired individuals, professional landscapers, municipalities, garden clubs, civic and community organizations, businesses to improve the quality of life in the County.

On October 26, 2016, an awards ceremony was held to recognize 61 Landscape Beatification Award Contest winners, 18 Amateur Photography Contest winners, and three Adopt A Road (AAR) volunteers.  Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett kicked off the ceremony citing the importance of volunteers in making the County a better place to live.  Also participating were MCDOT Director Al Roshdieh, and Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) Director Lisa Feldt.
