Patient Advocacy

Effective January 1, 2013, the EMS Transport Insurance Reimbursement Law authorized Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service (MCFRS) to seek reimbursement to recover costs incurred by EMS transports. The quality of patient care continues to be the highest priority for MCFRS.

OCP provides patient advocacy services regarding the EMS Insurance Reimbursement Program.  Under the EMS Law, OCP’s critical role is to implement a program of high level customer service to both county and non-county residents, to address any questions and concerns and to serve as liaison with MCFRS third-party vendor to ensure that any billing issues are promptly resolved.
