Ages 7 - 15: It's like having an art store at your fingertips! Come to the magical world of Art Destination, where you can experience art in a fun and creative ways. Use many mediums including clay (regular and polymer), wood items to build or paint, and more. Create works of art with watercolors, acrylics, oil pastels, chalk and more! Use a variety of materials (too many to list) and experiment to create your own fantastic artistic world. You can take it one week, or all summer, and never make the same thing twice! A $42 material fee is due to instructor on the first day of camp for each session registered. Bring a bag lunch and a smock. No camp July 3rd. Ages 4 - 10: You will create lots of cool artwork inspired by the great outdoors in this beautiful setting . Artwork may include paper mache, mobiles, sculptures from natural and recycled materials, mosaics, painting in the style of famous artists, collage, fabric painting, and lots more! New crafts! Play lots of games, sports, and explore the park. On Wed. campers walk to the Bethesda pool adjacent to the park and must pass a swimming test or stay in the shallow end. Ages 5 to 10: Kids are natural builders and this camp is all about building really cool stuff like large scale sculptures , amazing structures, imaginative creatures, games and more. Kids work with a variety of tools and materials while combining wood, paint, glue, connectors, paper and kids endless imaginations. Camp Build It encourages collaboration as well as the development of individual skills and brain power. Kids have fun while making new friends, developing skills and confidence, learning with the staff and making awesome projects !


Ages 9-13: Lights, camera, drama! Leap into an unforgettable theater experience as we plan and produce a real stage production. Campers will participate in all aspects of the production from auditioning, choreography, improvisation, costuming, singing and even set construction. Daily rehearsals give campers the opportunity to improve skills and be part of the excitement of a drama production. A culminating stage performance for family and friends is the grand finale that makes this camp a great combination of skill building and fun. Campers swim at an MCRD pool twice per week and have one field trip each session. Each child must bring a bag lunch. Onsite morning and afternoon extended care is available for an additional fee. Camps will not meet Friday, July 3.


Ages 7 - 12: Here's an exciting opportunity for aspiring musical theatre artists. We'll create an original musical and explore the camaraderie of the ensemble spirit and other music theatre skills while developing individual creative talent. Exposure to acting and performance skills, music coaching, as well as costumes, props, make up and sets. We'll put it all together in a final performance. Limited space so register early. Ages 4 - 10: Are we in Mexico? You would think you were with all the fun Mexican crafts , games, sports and music. Create your own mask, pinata, sombrero, maracas and much more! All in Spanish! !Vamos Amigos! Bring a bagged lunch, sunscreen and a hat. Bring your bathing suit each day for water fun. Ages 5-12: Here's something to sing about! Spend your summer in musical bliss and discover just how many fun and exciting activities you can tune into! You'll have time each day to find your inner rhythm as you enjoy singing and choir, exploring different instruments, discovering new dances and dance moves, playing the piano and more! Each day will include special activities, outdoor play and time to practice for a Musical Showcase at the end of each session. This is a fun program that will enrich and entertain children at all levels of musical expression. Children will be grouped by age and ability. Make a note to register today! Ages 5 to 8 - Inspired by Disney Princesses, in this dance camp dancers will have daily Ballet and Theatre dance classes in dance wonderland . Join us for enchanted arts and crafts, royal snacks and much more. Princesses will also learn to make a tiara, ribbon skirt, activity book and will enjoy princess themed movies during the snack break. The last day of Princess Dance Camp will conclude with a short dance presentation and an official princess crowning ceremony .


Ages 10-17: Ger your summer started by 'rocking it out' with us! Our Rock camp will teach your Rock Star musicianship, rhythm, technique, ensemble and more. This includes playing basic chords and chord management, timing and ear training on guitar, drums, bass and keyboard. Singers also welcome! The week will end with a perforrmance. Ages 6-9: In this week long dance camp, come and explore a variety of the latest and greatest sytles of dance including jazz, lyrical, contemporary and hip hop. Feel like one of the stars on the hit show 'So you think you can dance.' Camp will include daily dance classes, choreography by guest instructors, games and a finale performance showcasing a routine they learned for parents and friends! Full session attendees will also receive a free dance camp water bottle and t-shirt.


Ages 5 to 12: Campers will be introduced to the musical instruments and concepts of piano, guitar, violin, drums, voice and movement. Students will play each instrument through the week (Instruments will differ between AM and PM sessions) as well as participate in musical games, crafts, musical listening excerpts and related projects. Ages 6 - 12: Animal lovers rejoice: an all new animal workshop is here! Students will learn drawing and texturing techniques to illustrate whimsical bees, a fanciful army of frogs, a striking owl and more artistic critters filled with detail. This class focuses primarily on pastel drawing, but students may complete additional drawings in colored pencil, marker and sharpie as well. Challenge your creative kids by introducing them to the world of pastels, a guaranteed favorite summer tradition for every Young Rembrandts artist . Please wear an old shirt or smock to class. Ages 6 - 12: Join Young Rembrandts as we travel back in time to the Middle Ages for our Castle Workshop . Princesses, knights, castles and even dragons highlight the spectacular drawings our students will produce. Not only will our students learn how to illustrate period-specific characters and scenes, but they will also strengthen their drawing and coloring skills. From kinghts in shining armor to elegantly dressed maidens, our students will learn how to compose a well drawn figure. Get ready for five days of exciting, medieval imagery!
