The Montgomery County State's Attorney's Office has over one hundred employees. There are a total of sixty-five lawyers and fifty members of the support staff. When a job opening occurs in the office, active resumes on file are reviewed and the most qualified candidates are selected to be interviewed. INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST

Employee in this position assists others by doing routine, non-specialized and sometime repetitive information technology tasks. Employee will provide support to the Office’s information technology team, and work with other information technology technicians and staff from other agencies.

This is an information technology support position specific to the State’s Attorney’s Office, performing tasks such as:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
One year of experience related to the position providing data processing/clerical support activities in a technology or office environment.

Education: Completion of high school or High School Certificate of completion

Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Knowledge, Skills:
Basic competency/knowledge in operating systems, including a basic understanding of desktop applications, Microsoft Office Suite, Basic competency/knowledge  in  software programs, systems applications, software/hardware support, troubleshooting, program support, and audio-visual equipment.

Abilities:
Ability to work with clients and customers with courtesy and tact to satisfy their expectations.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Ability to identify problems, use creative thinking and sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations or decisions concerning proper course of action.
Ability to quickly adapt to change.
Ability to cooperatively work as a member of a team.
Ability to plan work, set well-defined and realistic goals, evaluate and monitor progress, and effectively manage time.
Ability to attend meetings or perform other assignments at locations outside of the office, if necessary.
