Keyna Ijeoma Anyiam is a political and community engagement professional with a multidisciplinary background in city and state government, private sector, and non-profit organizations, spanning over ten years.

As a former employee of the City of Baltimore’s Office of Recycling, she helped recruit volunteers and organizations for the annual Baltimore City Spring and Fall Clean-up, going on to assist with creating the Mayor’s Baltimore City executive order addressing the recycling rate citywide. In a previous role as Executive Coordinator at Environmental Defense Fund in Boston and Washington D.C., she served as a key project manager in the first-ever EDF Greater Boston local fundraiser. Keyna recruited and trained volunteers for the Ayanna Pressley campaign for Congress in 2018.

In her current job as the Community Engagement Manager at Reading Partners (Baltimore), Keyna manages the onboarding and training for volunteer tutors, facilitates the retention and recruitment of community partners, and reports critical volunteer insights throughout the Baltimore region. Recently she served as senior advisor to a campaign for Maryland Governor, ran a campaign for a District 14 seat on the Montgomery County Democratic Central Committee, and served as Membership Director for Montgomery County Young Democrats, where she helped to draft testimony on issues pertaining especially to healthcare, education, and the environment.

Keyna is first generation Nigerian-American. She resides in Silver Spring, Maryland, and is a proud mentor with Spark the Journey (formally Capital Partner for Education), an alumna of Emerge Maryland, and a member of the Montgomery County Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. Keyna earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Saint Francis University (Loreto, PA).
