Early Voting Closers (EVCLS) assist the Board of Elections staff in closing the early voting equipment. This activity takes place on Election Day at the Board of Elections main office in Gaithersburg.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Board of Elections Voting Systems and Information Technology (VSIT) staff in completing all tasks associated with closing the voting equipment from early voting
Requirements:
  • Complete all required training
  • Able to speak clearly, listen well and to be friendly and welcoming
  • Able to follow procedures, written and verbal instructions
Service Hours and Service Stipend (payment)
  • This is a part-day morning position.
  • Election Day Service Hours: 9:30 am to about 2:00 pm
  • Election Service Stipend: $135.00 Training Payment: $50.00
  • Note: This position is not eligible to receive the returning service bonus .
