Early Voting Operations Workers (EVVOP and EVSPN)) are trained to carry out the duties associated with each functional area in the early voting center. The number of EVVOPs assigned to each center varies based on anticipated turnout. One EVVOP bilingual in Spanish is required per center. Workers bilingual in other languages (Chinese, French, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese) may also be assigned, based on the specific needs of the center.
Responsibilities:
- Check in voters at the electronic pollbook
- Issue ballots to voters
- Work as a team to close the early voting center and prepare the materials and documentation to be returned to the Board of Elections
- Rotate and assist as directed by the Early Voting Center Manager and Chiefs
- Escort voters to the voting areas and, if asked, give instructions on the voting process, scanners and ballot marking device
- Manage lines and crowds at the early voting center
Requirements:
- Completed Election Day training for the current election
- Completed early voting training for assigned position
- Willing to serve where assigned regardless of the distance from home
- If assigned to work on the first day of early voting, attend a pre-election meeting/set-up at your assigned early voting center

* Election Workers who previously served as an Election Judge will receive a $100.00 bonus for each Election Day and/or each Early Voting Day served during the 2024 elections.
Early Voting Hours: Primary Election 6:00 am - 9:00 pm
General Election 6:00 am - 9:00 pm
