Election Day Runners - A and B (RNR-A/B) provide logistic support to polling precincts requesting supplies and equipment from the Board of Elections. Individuals selected for these positions will be dispatched by Board of Elections personnel to multiple precincts throughout their shift.
Responsibilities:
- In a safe and timely manner, deliver supplies and/or equipment to designated polling precincts
- Complete and submit a log of election day deliveries
Requirements:
- Able to speak clearly, listen well and to be friendly and welcoming
- Able to follow procedures; written and verbal instructions
- Knowledge of major roadways throughout Montgomery County and the ability to navigate (using GPS or a map) to locate polling precincts
- Automobile: required to travel to designated precincts and the Board of Elections on election day. The vehicle must be able to securely transport election materials and voting equipment (excluding the scanning unit). The vehicle may be a car, SUV, pick–up truck with a covered bed, or van. Public transportation, taxi cabs, ride sharing services (Uber, Lyft, etc.), motorcycles, bicycles, scooters, and mopeds are not an acceptable means of transportation to serve in this position.
- Cell Phone: required for use to communicate with the Board of Elections while making deliveries. In the event of any unusual or unplanned circumstance, must be able to contact and be contacted by the Board of Elections immediately.

Election Day Payment: $135.00 per shift Training Payment: N/A
Election Day Hours: RNR-A 5:00 am – 12:00 pm
RNR-B 12:00 pm - 7:00 pm
