Account Notifications

We know you're busy—let us help you keep up to date with your library account! We have several ways for you to get notifications about your account, including hold pickup reminders and overdue notices.

Use the tabs to learn about different notification types, change your notification type, or update your information.

Sign up for email notification and receive emails from MCPL:

  • when your holds are available at your pickup location;
  • 3 days before and again 1 day before your checked-out items are due;
  • when an item you have checked out is 1 day, 10 days, and 21 days overdue; and
  • 1 month before the annual expiration date of your library card.

You can use this form to sign up for email notification or change the email address on file for email notifications. Your current notification method, if different, will be replaced with email notification.

Sign up for text notification with an email address and receive the following notifications:

  • a text and an email when your holds are available at your pickup location;
  • an email 3 days before and again 1 day before your checked-out items are due;
  • an email when an item you have checked out is 1 day, 10 days, and 21 days overdue; and
  • an email 1 month before the annual expiration date of your library card.

You can use this form to sign up for text notification or change the phone number or email address on file for text notifications with email. Your current notification method, if different, will be replaced with text notification with email.

Sign up for phone notification and receive the following notification:

  • a phone call when your holds are available at your pickup location.

You can use this form to sign up for phone notification or change the phone number on file for phone notifications. Your current notification method, if different, will be replaced with phone notification.

Please note:

  • The Library is not responsible for misdelivered notifications.
  • Appropriate fines and fees will be assessed regardless of notification delivery.
