Service Changes

Effective February 11, 2022, the Montgomery County Office of Consumer Protection ("OCP") is suspending its Business Eviction Response Team ("BERT") service until further notice. OCP intends to resume the service in a limited capacity at a later date.
OCP has returned to its principal office located at the Montgomery County Council Office Building, 100 Maryland Avenue, Suite 3600, Rockville, MD 20850.
The Council Office Building is closed to the public and OCP is not yet offering in-person meetings with investigative and Business Registration staff. If you need to submit documents for your case or business registration, you can submit them through email, mail or send a fax to (240) 777-3768.
If onsite delivery is necessary, limited access to OCP’s office is available by appointment between 9:00a - 4:00p Monday through Friday. Please call (240) 777-3636 before arrival to schedule your appointment. Building security will contact the office to approve your entry. YOU WILL NOT BE PROVIDED ACCESS TO THE BUILDING IF YOU DO NOT PRE-SCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT.
