Kimberly Mouzon has been a resident of Montgomery County for 26 years. She was appointed to the Commission for Women in April 2022. Currently, Kimberly is employed with the Department of Health and Human Services where she assists County residents with housing. For seventeen years Kimberly has worked in human service and volunteered with non-profits. Her experience includes Child Welfare, homeless shelter, mental health and substance abuse disorder, transitional housing, Early Head Start, coordinated services, case management and assessed children for developmental delays. Kimberly volunteered for six and half years at Wells Robertson Transitional Housing program to provide women support groups.
She has a B.S. in Social Work from Bowie State University and M.S.W. (Clinical/Macro) from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. During her graduate studies, Kimberly wrote the domestic violence program for the agency she interned with. Kimberly aspires to someday open a practice with her daughter who is a licensed social worker. Outside of work, she assist individuals with money management, resume writing, mock interviews and record expungement.
She is a proud mother of two daughters. On her spare time, Kimberly enjoys time with family and friends, travel, reading, HGTV, walks, and watching her Baltimore Ravens.
