Thank you for your interest in our Citizenship Preparation classes. We are currently not taking applications.

  1. Citizenship preparation classes offered by the Gilchrist Immigrant Resource Center

    Our classes are offered for 10 weeks in the fall, winter, spring, and 8 weeks in the summer. In our classes, you will:

    • learn about the citizenship application form
    • practice interview questions and learn about U.S. history and civics to practice interview questions

  • Students may only register for ONE class.
  • Must have been a permanent resident for at least four years (two years if married to a U.S. citizen).
  • Must be a Montgomery County, MD resident, 18 years or older.
  • All classes are taught in English. At least basic English required.

Classes Start Dates: April 2, 3, 4, and 6, 2024. The Saturday in-person class is in Gaithersburg.
