Wheaton:
  • NEW! Pro Bono (Free) Legal Clinics from the Montgomery County Bar Foundation's Pro Bono Program: 301-424-7651
    • 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. Sign in from 6pm-6:30pm (space is limited).
    • Free legal advice in civil cases for low-income Montgomery County residents. No appointment necessary (walk-in). See flyer (English) / (Español) for details.
  • Montgomery College: Adult ESOL Classes (AELG)
  • Free In-Person Citizenship Consultations (Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center)
    • Meet with an attorney from the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center (APALRC) for help applying for citizenship and for help with legal questions. All nationalities welcome. Contact or visit the Gilchrist Center for more information and to schedule an appointment. 
Gaithersburg:

    • Meet with staff from Montgomery College's Community Engagement team every Tuesday from 5-7pm and  Wednesday from 5-7pm in the lobby at the Gaithersburg Library. Learn about classes, financial aid, and career pathways that will help you achieve your educational and career goals.
  • Gaithersburg Financial Empowerment Center - Offered by the City of Gaithersburg 
    • ​City of Gaithersburg residents of all income levels can receive free, one-on-one financial counseling to help manage their finances, pay down debt, and build credit to create a path to financial security.  See flyer (English) / (Español) for details.
  • Catholic Charities - Basic English Class
    • Classes will meet on Tuesday and Thursdays from 6pm-8pm. Registration required. See flyer (Español and English) for more details and QR code to register. For more information, text 240-676-1534.
