Birth and Death Certificates (Vital Records)
Walk-in appointments are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
If all walk-in appointments are full, you may schedule an appointment for any available times that same afternoon or other another day (see below for details).
Same-Day Certificates
The Maryland Vital Records Administration is using a new registration and payment system. This system's processing and wait times are longer than usual.
When the system is slow or down, issuing birth certificates and death certificates on the same day may not be possible.
