"We are currently looking for volunteers to become part of the Keeping Seniors Safe program. Be part of our team!"

Keeping Seniors Safe (KSS) is a program that was established to increase awareness of safety issues within the senior community and to provide guidance and resources to seniors regarding these issues.

Keeping Seniors Safe members offer free information and will talk to community groups about topics including:

  • safe shopping habits
  • parking lot safety
  • home safety
  • emergency preparedness
  • fraud and scams
  • identity theft
  • elder abuse
  • county resources

These briefings usually last about an hour and include time for audience questions and comments.

Please email or call the Keeping Seniors Safe program if you would like more information about the program or if you are interested in having these members come to one of your meetings!
