Hut, hut, hike! Join a team to play one of the fastest-growing youth sports, flag football! Montgomery County Recreation offers leagues for ages 6-15, catering to both boys and girls. Here are the details:

• Duration: Leagues typically run for five to six weeks and take place in fall and pring.

• Team Composition: Each team consists of about 10-12 players placed by age.

• Weekly Schedule: Teams have a two-hour slot each Sunday. The first hour is for practice with the coach, and the second hour is for a game against another team.

• Playoff Day: The season concludes with a playoff day.

• Equipment: Uniform jerseys, flags and footballs are provided. Players need to wear closed-toed shoes and while sneakers are acceptable, non-metal cleats are recommended. Mouthguards are required.
