Youth In Action
- Volunteer Earn Service Learning Hours while making your community a better place by participating in service projects or by helping with community events.
- Summer Leadership Challenge is not your average teen camp. In this program you will participate in interactive workshops that prepare you for leadership roles and youth employment. Each session concludes with a service learning capstone project.
- Youth Advisory Committee is located at participating RecZone, Excel Beyond the Bell schools. Meet new people, create an awesome event or project with your team, and make change in your community. You will also earn student service learning credits for school and you’ll be growing your leadership skills. It's a commitment but the rewards are amazing.

All YAC applicants must join at participating RecZone, RecXtra, or Excel Beyond the Bell schools. Don't see a Montgomery County Recreation program at your school? Talk to your school about it.
SLC is a leadership development program that encourages exploration, independence and personal growth. In addition, you will have the opportunity to earn Service Learning Hours and learn about employment and volunteer opportunities such as lifeguarding, Teen Works, Junior Counselor and more.
