Seneca Park and Plumgar II Stormwater Ponds

As part of the County's effort to protect our waters, the Seneca Park and Plumgar II stormwater ponds were selected for upgrades, to help reduce stormwater pollution draining into our streams. The retrofit projects for Seneca Park stormwater pond (pond 11119, see map below) and Plumgar II stormwater pond (pond 11200, see map below) will bring the ponds up to current design standards and help reduce stormwater pollutiion draining into our streams

A public meeting was held during the concept stage of the design process for residents to learn about the project and to provide input on the design.  The County has also been in contact with the HOA board.

Plumgar II Pond

Pond 11200 is located between Winding Brook Lane and Wheatfield Terrace.

In order to provide maintenance and to protect our streams the County selected the  stormwater pond (pond 11200) adjacent to the Seneca Park and Seneca Park North communities for upgrade.  The retrofit project will convert the pond from a dry pond to a wet pond, bring it up to current design standards, and help reduce stormwater pollution draining into our streams.
