Wheaton Woods I Green Streets

As a part of the County's effort to protect our waters, the Wheaton Woods neighborhood was selected for a Green Street project to help reduce stormwater pollution that drains into our streams.  Green Street projects generally involve installing small-scale stormwater practices within the county's right-of-way to capture water from roadways and sidewalks during storms.

Residents can also help reduce stormwater pollution by installing stormwater practices on their property through the county's  RainScapes program.

Various public events will be held throughout the project phases for residents to learn about the project and to provide input on the design of the project.
