National Chapter Chesapeake Emmy Award
This episode (#6) of Made in Montgomery that features chicken coop rentals and a solar mowing business earned a nomination for a 2015 Emmy Award. Made in Montgomery is produced by show host Susan Kenedy with videography from Mike Springerth and editing by Loren Olsen. The Montgomery County Council's Legislative Information Office guides the show's direction.
“Government cable television has come a long way from being only meeting coverage or simple interviews with leaders,” said Phil Roter, the County’s Cable and Broadband Administrator. “CCM is an example of how video can go much further by showing why a county like Montgomery is a great place to do business and how the featured businesses illustrate what elected officials are hoping to accomplish through their policies. The fact that a government cable station like CCM can compete for awards along with some of the top local commercial television stations in the nation demonstrates how well we are utilizing the resources we have.”
