Soil Testing Application and Inspection Process

All properties are either served by public sewer or a private septic system as its means of wastewater disposal. Properties that are ineligible for public sewer service must complete satisfactory water table tests and percolation or sand mound testing to establish a sewage disposal area on the property before it can be considered buildable.
🆕 Soils testing applications for the 2026 Wet Season are no longer being accepted. The 2026 Wet Season remains closed due to insufficient water table levels. DPS may open the Wet Season beyond the traditional April 15 deadline if precipitation accumulation results in a sustained period of seasonally high water table levels. An announcement will be made via email and on the DPS website when the Wet Season opens. Please check back here for updates.
