There are two main entrances into the building: from Maryland Avenue and Monroe Street. The directions provided using this link will bring you to the Maryland Avenue entrance of the Circuit Court.

Driving Directions to the Courthouse:

From I-270:
  1. Take Exit 5 (Falls Road) toward Rockville.
  2. If you are coming from I-270 North, bear right off the exit ramp, heading towards downtown Rockville. If you are coming from I-270 South, bear left off the ramp towards downtown Rockville.
  3. The road becomes Maryland Avenue; stay in the left lane.
  4. Proceed straight through two traffic lights and follow across East Jefferson Street (Route 28). The Maryland Avenue entrance of the courthouse will be on your right.
From Route 355:
  1. If you are heading south on Route 355 (Hungerford Drive), turn right onto Monroe Place. Proceed across Monroe Street to the Monroe Street entrance of the courthouse.
  2. If you are heading north on Route 355 (Hungerford Drive), stay in the left lane and turn left onto Jefferson Street (Route 28). Stay in the right lane and make a right turn onto Maryland Avenue. The Maryland Avenue entrance of the courthouse will be on your right.

 

Public Transportation

Metrorail
  1. Take the Red Line towards Shady Grove (if you are coming from Washington, D.C., or Virginia) or towards Glenmont or Silver Spring (if you are coming from north of Rockville) and get off at Rockville Station.
  2. Turn left after the turnstiles and walk up the stairs and over Hungerford Drive (Route 355) via the pedestrian bridge.
  3. Walk across the pedestrian bridge until you reach Monroe Street.
  4. Turn left on Monroe Street. The Monroe Street entrance to the courthouse is on your right about a quarter of a block down.

Metrobus
  1. Q2 (Veirs Mill Road Line) and T2 (River Road Line) provide services to Rockville Station.
  2. You will need to cross Hungerford Drive (Route 355). If you choose to take the pedestrian bridge located in the Metrorail station, you will come out on Monroe Street. If you choose not to choose the pedestrian bridge, cross Hungerford Drive on East Middle Lane and keep walking one block to Monroe Street.
  3. Turn left on Monroe Street. The Monroe Street entrance to the courthouse will be on your right.

Ride On (Montgomery County Transit) Bus
  1. Ride On Bus Routes provide stops on Monroe Street near the courthouse and/or Rockville Station.
  2. If the bus lets you off at Rockville Station, you will need to cross Hungerford Drive (Route 355). If you choose to take the pedestrian bridge located in the Metrorail station, you will come out on Monroe Street. If you choose not to choose the pedestrian bridge, cross Hungerford Drive on East Middle Lane and keep walking one block to Monroe Street.
  3. Turn left on Monroe Street. The Monroe Street entrance to the courthouse will be on your right.

Juror Entrances

For jurors coming from the parking lots, the closest entrance - and the one with the least amount of slope to the sidewalk - is from the south side of the building along Jefferson Street through the Terrace-level entrance. Look for an "Optional Juror Entrance" sign.

The entrance nearest the Metro stop is the east side of the building along Monroe Street.
