Kathy M. Estrada

Lieutenant Kathy M. Estrada has been with MCPD since 2006 and was the first and only Hispanic female to achieve the rank of Sergeant and the rank of Lieutenant.  Kathy began as a patrol officer assigned to the Wheaton/Glenmont District and later became an investigator assigned to the Special Victims Investigations Division.  As a Sergeant, Kathy was assigned to the Community Engagement Division, where she participated in programs that bridged members of the community with members of the police department.  Kathy enjoys spending her free time outdoors and gardening.
