Shuaa Tajammul

Shuaa Tajammul grew up in Montgomery County and was appointed to the Commission for Women in 2024. Shuaa is a family law attorney who litigates divorce, custody, child support, alimony, domestic violence, and related matters across the state and in the District of Columbia through her own firm.  Shuaa received her undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, and her law degree from the American University Washington College of Law. 

Serving her community and being actively involved to make it better are important to Shuaa.  Along with serving as a Commissioner on the CFW, she also serves as a Panel Chair for Montgomery County Commission on Common Ownership Communities.  In that role, she adjudicates disputes between home and condominium owners and their respective condominium and homeowner’s associations.  Shuaa also serves on the Board of Directors for Leadership Montgomery, and the Theatre Consortium of Silver Spring.  She previously served on the Board of Governors for the Maryland State Bar Association.

In her free time, Shuaa enjoys reading and spending time with family and friends.
