Get your at-home PCR test results - available within 48 hours of receiving your specimen.
If you have any COVID-19 symptoms:
- Do not come to a test pickup/drop-off location.
- Contact your health care provider or make an appointment for a PCR test.
Where to get and drop off tests
Bring proof of residency. Examples include a driver’s license, identification, or bill that shows you are a resident of Montgomery County.
Residents can get one test kit per person per day. Each kit contains one test.
If you are unable to access COVID test kits due to a disability, you can request a reasonable accommodation under the Americans with Disabilities Act by contacting 240-777-2982.

How to use your at-home PCR test kit
- Read the instructions before beginning. See detailed instructions (PDF).
- Prepare your surface.
- Collect your specimen.
- Prepare your specimen for return.
- Return your specimen to a drop box. Test kits are picked up from drop boxes daily.
- Within 48 hours, get your result email. Or, see your test result online.
