The project provides engineering and construction of access improvements to the North Bethesda Metro Station (formerly White Flint Metro Station). The planned improvements include widening the sidewalk and providing a buffer with street trees along Rockville Pike (MD355) from the intersection of Old Georgetown Road to the Metro station entrance. The project also includes the modification of the intersection of MD355 and Old Georgetown Road (MD187) to remove the “hot right” turn lanes and pork chop islands.
