Crabbs Branch Way Culvert Repair

 

The project is located in Redland, Montgomery County, Maryland. The project limits are from Crabbs Branch Way, crossing over Indianola Drive and run parallel with Anamosa Drive and Buena Vista Drive. Work will include repairs to approximately 1400.0 LF of the existing 72” Corrugated Metal Pipe (CMP) by invert lining in addition to replacing a portion of the pipe culvert.

The Crabbs Branch Culvert Repair project will begin mid-summer approximately July 1, 2024. Work will commence with the replacement of a section of the existing 72" Corrugated Metal Pipe. Work will progress downstream repairing the deteriorated pipe invert toward the outfall at the pond. The length of the storm drain work is approx. 1400 linear feet and will be done in stages utilizing the existing manholes for access along the proposed Heavy Duty Mulch Mat Access Road. The work is projected to take approximately 6 months. (180 Days).

Construction Updates
  • From 7/1/24 - 7/19/24 Concrete General, Inc. has tied and welded the rebar from station 14+25 BL to station 9+25BL.
  • Over the next two weeks Concrete General, Inc. will continue with the rebar installation and commence pouring the invert lining every other day weather permitting.
