Public Safety Mapping Support

Public Safety and GIS - The Department of Technology and Enterprise Business Solutions Geographic Information Services (TEBS-GIS) team provides GIS services for the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MC-FRS) and the Police Department. For instance, TEBS-GIS maintains and provides the building footprints, building address points and street centerline data for the Public Safety Data Systems.  TEBS-GIS, working with the two PS departments, also maintains the Police 'geography' (District, Beats, and Reporting Areas) and the MC-FRS 'geography' (Battalions, Response Areas, Firebox Areas, and links between Pre-plans and building footprints).
